What’s Next in Skincare? Key Trends for 2025

Welcome to our most anticipated blog of the year, the trends you need to know! 2024 certainly saw some wacky trends - Banana Botox anyone? No thanks. Now, we can’t predict what crazy micro-trends will go viral in 2025, but we have witnessed the latest major trends set to shape the medical-aesthetics and skincare industry and we’re ready to share the biggest skincare trends 2025 we’ll be writing about next year! Let’s go …

HYPER-PERSONALISATION WITH AI

This trend is all about moving away from uniform digital trends in exchange for hyper-personalised recommendations for results first time, without trial and error. This has been our M.O since day one; you meet with a skin pro and get deeply personalised recommendations, but did you know we also have an intuitive tech-based skincare routine quiz on our website? Use it anytime for hyper-personalised recommendations based on your skin type, condition, goals, and budget. Discuss the results with your pro and they may make small necessary tweaks based on their real-life expertise and experience.

Top tip: be strategic and use the quiz before your seasonal check-ins with your pro to see how your skincare routine may change as you hit your goals.

RESILIENCE IN A NEW ERA

Skin resilience has been underpinning a couple of the big skincare trends of 2024 – barrier betterment and ageing well with regenerative ingredients (read more: How To Repair Your Skin Barrier and  How To Build Longevity in Skin Health). Next year, as the conversation around resilient skin accelerates, we’ll be sharing about how to fight DNA damage, prevent oxidative stress and stop collagen degradation. It's going to be a great year!

LONG LIVE COLLAGEN!

Skin longevity will remain in the limelight for 2025 with regenerative ingredients focused on collagen preservation. From polynucleotides and exosomes to vegan collagen and bio-active preventative beauty, all eyes are on stimulating collagen and reducing the impact of collagen degradation. While it’s sadly true that our natural collagen production methods slow down as we age, it’s also true that skincare stalwarts – vitamin C, retinol and peptides have been proven in decades of clinical literature to support the body's natural collagen production.

Sneak peak - Our EverActive C&E® + Peptide is clinically proven to reduce the depth and volume of wrinkles, improve surface homogeneity, and even out complexion within 56 days*. Not to mention our time-release Retinol Resurfacing Serum formulas which rejuvenate skin while you sleep and also include a clinically proven peptide and soothing, hydrating ingredients too.

*Average results from a 56-day study of 35 women over 40 years old. Lintner K, Gerstein F, Solish N. A serum containing vitamins C & E and a matrix-repair tripeptide reduces facial signs of ageing as evidenced by Primos® analysis and frequently repeated auto-perception. J Cosmet Dermatol. 2020; 19: 3262–3269

THINK SLOW MOVE FAST

This trend is about approaching beauty with intention at every stage of your journey. Meet with a skin professional who will show you – not only the right products for you, but how and when to use them too. It’s an initial time investment, but in the long-term you’ll move much faster towards your skin goals.

Part 2 is all about embracing wellness and self-care to improve every aspect of your life, including your skin. We’re talking about drinking plenty of water, eating a variety of fruits and veg, good sleep hygiene, exercising, finding ways to cope with stress and of course, taking time to follow your skin routine AM and PM. These well-considered choices lead to very quick results in skincare, and once you hit your first set of goals you can set the bar even higher.

Happy New Year!
